Anterior/Posterior Regions
- Peaked: the region has only one conspicuous well developed tip forming a clearly acute angle; the antirostrum may be absent or poorly developed and usually is smaller than the rostrum.
- Angled: the region has a very wide and short tip, forming almost a straight or obtuse angle.
- Notched: the region has the rostrum and the antirostrum very well defined, with a noticeable excisura between them.
- Blunt: the region is prolonged and progressively narrower ending in a flat tip.
- Double-Peaked: the region has two conspicuous and similar tips, but they not necessarily correspond to the rostrum and the antirostrum.
- Round: the region is regular and curve.
- Flattened: the region is clearly flat.
- Oblique: the region has a marked asymmetry; the apex is clearly diverted to the dorsal or the ventral region.
- Lanceolated: the region is more or less symmetric and prolonged like a lance.
- Irregular: the region does not have a defined outline, and may have many indentations irregularly distributed.
